The Secret of Power
Awesome and absolute power - something mankind has wished to acquire for centuries. I too wish to posses this ultimate power, and the way to go about it is to become ruler of the universe. But therein lies my greatest problem, for how does one become ruler of the universe?
Firstly, I would have to decide whether I want to be a well-liked and celebrated leader, or a horrifying dictator of evil. I choose the latter, since that would be so much more fun.
Secondly, I would have to begin carefully, for instance becoming a politician or owner of a corporation. Then I could expand my corporation or my political power to a global level. But to become a politician or head of a corporation is not easy. It requires hard work, people supporting you and a lot of money. These things are not given to you, but they are not impossible to obtain.
But even if I did succeed in overcoming the first to problems I would still have a third; as soon as your power starts to grow, people will become jealous and frightened and turn against you. I would therefore have to fend off any resistance, preferebly by killing the people behind it. First after that can I truly say that I am the ruler of the universe, and that I have acquired the awesome power I desire.
Uppgiften var att skriva ett tävlingsinlägg om sin hemliga ambition. Antingen har jag ingen hemlig ambition, eller så är den så hemlig att jag inte vet om den själv. Hur som helst så improviserade jag lite, och mitt bidrag blev tydligen mest omtyckt.
